Please read Fr. Pastorius's letter about how Epiphany of Our Lord and St. James the Greater Parishes will be focusing on becoming places of "Unceasing Prayer" throughout the liturgical year 2025
If you are like me, it is easy to forget how “God provides” if you are too focused on others’ blessings. We live in a culture that incessantly prompts us to want more and more of what others have – and INSTANTLY! Temptations are thrown in our path relentlessly and we are provided many opportunities to lose perspective...
As we move into the local, regional and national election season, I expect all of our parishioners to conduct ourselves in a Christ-like manner. This is true for in-person conversations, but also those that happen online.
Our parishes are blessed to be served by three permanent deacons that assist Fr. Tom, the pastor, and the Parish Leadership Team with a variety of activities and ministry work.
In September we celebrate our parishes’ multifaceted connections to the Vincentian charism, with a culmination on the Feast of St. Vincent de Paul (September 27). We are inspired by the mission of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Merillac in our care for our neighbors in need.
Church invites us to pray a special novena for mental health awareness.
People may pray this novena at any time, it is suggested that we make an effort to pray it beginning October 9th and finishing the novena on October 18th. October 18th is the feast day of St. Luke and he is the patron saine of healthcare workers.
All of us have places within our hearts and our histories that are hurting. Some of us have experienced tragedy beyond our comprehension. Some of us minimize our wounds without any care, and end up hurting ourselves further.
In today’s Gospel we see people walk away from Jesus because they could not accept His teaching. It must have been hard for Jesus to respect their free will.
Thank you to everyone who joined in our monthly Covenant Night tonight! We listened to the parable of the sower and the grain, and reflected on how we can be ready to receive God's words.
